Meet The ArtistSpencer Grimm is a software engineer, data analyst, and process consultant from the craft beer industry. After decades of furniture-making for his own homes, Spencer found himself using NY's stunning native hardwoods (and traditional Amish/Mennonite sawmills) to gift shelf after shelf to friends and family. Excited by their quality, he invested in a small workshop, purpose-built for live edge shelves and outfitted with precision tools.To Spencer, shelves are the most approachable way to bring the beauty of NY's wood into NYC homes. He considers a shelf as most carpenters would a tabletop -- a hand-picked slab, finely finished, chosen in communication with the customer.
